Sarah Hurley blog hop with the girls.

Welcome to our hop to celebrate the launch of Sarah's new web site and Kit Club project called A few of my favourite things. The Kit Club is such an inspired idea and one I'm signed up to for sure. The start of the blog hop is at Sarah's blog here and from there you'll be led through all the dt blogs to leave them some love and the chance to win a prize.

I'm supposed to pick one of my favourites out of Sarah's collection but to be honest that's just too tricky. I love the Retro Home and Say Cheese kits and Documented is such an amazing range with so many ways to use it I love it, but as journaling is a huge passion of mine I was very very excited when Sarah brought out the digital journaling range. The page below was created for the Lookbook just before Christmas and being able to sit in front of a warm fire, computer on my lap creating a journal page was a no brainer!

I still felt the urge though to cut and stick something, so I printed my page and added the washi tape border, heart, the Tatty Button girlie stamp and the little bar code at the bottom, the clouds, words, painted balloon and background stamps are all digital.

So here's my second project. I created a black and white page in my journal using Scrap Basics, black and white background papers and because I printed them out on my ink jet printer I had to be careful what medium I put over the top so I stuck to my Gelato's blending them with my finger rather than with a wet brush.

Here's a little close up look:

I also used lots of black ink, washi tape and that gorgeous frame is by Sizzix called Damask (657599).

Now you're off to the blog of Clare but first if you leave a comment here or on Sarah's facebook page (both would get you double the chance to win) and say what your favourite thing in Sarah's shop is, you could be in with a chance to not only win it but also a £10 gift voucher to spend in the shop also.  Good luck and happy hopping.
