Anyway, This months challenge on the Sarah Hurley challenge blog is recycling and whilst rootling through my off cuts stash I came across a piece of fused plastic. I thought I'd die cut it using the Tattered Florals (656640) die by Sizzix and this is the result.
After painting over with gesso I used acrylic to colour the plastic and spattered and dripped some acrylic over the top.
While I was in the recycling mood I thought I'd go the whole hog and scavange everything. The tags are left overs (crafts gone bad), they were covered with the tissue I used to mop up my inky spills, the Sarah Hurley papers were off cuts from other projects, book pages, bits of ribbon and string and a scrap of fabric.
I can honestly say the only bit not used before is the little pink ticket which comes from Sarah Hurley's ephemera collection which you can find in her shop here. Even the piece of jute from a Sarah Hurley ephemera pack which I die cut was rescued from a Christmas project.
As it happens there's a challenge on Tim Holtz blog at the moment to use the Tattered Florals die and show and tell a project with them.
I still have some plastic left so I might make a few more embellishments.
Jaine x
