Art doll tag.

Whoop whoop, what a great week it's been, the weather has been fantastic, England have come good in the football and the end of my week off was marked with a crop and lunch with girlfriends. What more could a girl ask for?

One of the projects I completed was this tag for the Creative Inspirations challenge blog where the theme is "paper piecing". It's not something I've done before but decided to interpret it in this way with a jointed art doll tag. It was an excuse to use this Cherry Pie stamp set which I love.

If you go along to Creative Inspirations challenge blog you'll see the projects made by the other DT members and have a go yourself to be in with a prize.

"I have the stamp, you have the idea".

My good friend Lena had a great idea for a group of people to use the same stamped image but use it in very different ways. Lena gave us all 2 copies of the stamp to make 2 identical projects, one for her and one for us to keep. I decided to make ATC's with mine and turned her into a party girl. The background is book page (what else for me?) distress inks, additional stamps from Cherry Pie and Artemio.

You can see the others here

Challenge 36

This time on Creative Inspirations challenge blog for challenge number 36 we've been given some really cute digital images to work with by Jenni from Card fairy digital stamps and this is the one I chose. The theme for challenge 36 is monochrome. The winner will win a prize from the Cardfairy's Digital Stamp shop.

I love...........

I made this little piece of altered canvas board in response to this weeks challenge by Wednesday Stampers to create something showing your love for someone or something. I apologize to my family now for not making something showing my love for them but I hope it goes without saying I love them all dearly. My second love (I might just have got away with that one) has to be the creation of anything arty. This little canvas board was covered already with texture paste as a result of some past failed experiment, so I just painted over it with acrylic paints. Because it was so heavily textured, I stamped onto a piece of napkin tissue and glued this down onto the background. I added a few other bits of paper and used pastel crayons to highlight the edges.

New Scrappy layout sketch.

This is the new sketch and layout which I've posted for the month of June at Scrappy Accents

The photo was one of those chance moments as I was in the garden taking some pictures of the flowers when this beautiful butterfly landed on Laura's head. I've had the picture on my computer for some time now and was determined to use it in someway.

At the end of the month I'll be picking a winner from the layouts received and I haven't forgotten the card makers either, there's a version of the sketch for you too.
