The circle of life.

I've been made to think alot recently about the great circle of life and how everything just comes around sometimes in a way you didn't expect. For example, your parents take care of you when you're young and tell you what's right and what's wrong but then much later on when they need care, you end up being the parent telling them what's what and telling them off when they do something silly and taking care of them. This journal page is inspired by that circle of life and the way things go around.

Wednesday Stampers this week are challenging us to use orange in our work so I've entered my page for the challenge.

Home Sweet Home

This week I'm fortunate enough to be hostess for Gothic Arches

I've chosen as my theme "Home Sweet Home" and created my arch with a little door. The number 32 was the number of the house I grew up in and later which my Grandmother took over from us when we moved. Lots of happy memories there.

More digital playing.

Still in the digital mood, I turned the music up loud and created this layout using two old photo's which have been crying out for the photoshop treatment for some while.

Bollywood.

The theme this week on Gothic Arches is Bollywood. A quick google search threw up a few images one of them being this beautiful image of a classic Indian beauty. A bit of photoshop playing and a few tweeks later and this is how it ended up.

Creative Inspirations challenge 34

This is my DT card for this weeks Creative Inspirations challenge blog challenge. It's been set by Cheryl who asks us to use punches or die cuts on our cards. I've used two of my favourite edge punches from EK Success and Fiskars. The prize this week is being donated by Stitchy Bear Stamps and the DT were given a set of digital stamps to work with. I have to say it's the first time I'd worked with a digital stamp and was surprised to find how easy it was.

New fabric mini

I've been playing with more fabric and paint and this is the front cover of a new fabric book project. It started out as the mock-up for a tutorial but is quickly turning into a full blown project. I just have to decide what to do with the inside pages.

Seeing as the theme this week on Wednesday Stampers is flowers, I thought it fitted the bill nicely. The background was stamped before the photo (printed onto fabric) was added but the little flower embellishment is a stamp.

Journal page

Here's another journal page for Coleens 'life path challenge' at Vintage Terrace 2

I got to use my new Sizzix dies on this one which are just gorgeous.

Also today in the post was my copy of Rubber Stamp Madness magazine on which I'm mentioned on page 46. It's only 45 pages away from the front cover which is adorned by my old friend Sharon Bruner http://www.inkybrustudio.blogspot.com/

Not a bad day.

Colourful mona arch.

Poor Mona, most of the time she's described as a bit dowdy, miserable or sad so I decided she deserved to be funked up a bit and given a bit of colour.

Not having a mona stamp, I printed her (after turning her into a digital stamp in photoshop) onto acetate to layer her over some colourful paper.

This is for this weeks Mona Lisa challenge at Gothic Arches

Challenge 33 at Creative Inspirations.

This is my Congratulations card which I've created for the Creative Inspirations challenge blog challenge number 33. It was set by Mandy and is sponsored by Whiff of Joy stamps who are offering a digital stamp prize.

At the same time there is a Design Team call so if you feel you could give it a go, all you have to do is add DT to the end of your name in the link.
